About the Author
William E. Wallace is a professor of art history at Washington University in St. Louis and is an internationally recognized authority on Michelangelo and his contemporaries. Beautiful art book PLUS!

This is a gorgeous, well-written volume that would satisfy any art lover or student of Michelangelo. Add to this the clever die-cut windows that identify sectets in the art and you have a real winner! Written by a great scholar, with insightful essays paired with beautiful art reproduction, this book is a great value. Highly recommended!

very interesting. little windows highlight certain aspects of each painting and/or sculpture. Frankly, more windows would have helped. But worth the price.
