Good fundamentals

The book is beginner to intermediate level. It does a good job of descibing how the processor process information, decribes memory mapping vs I/O mapping with some good hardware examples to cover both. I use it a lot for reference. Covers the no-man land between soft and hardware well. All software is in assembly (off course).

More than a gay book, more than a furry book

The continuing story of Dev (a tiger, professional football player, and first gay player to come out) and Lee (a fox, gay activist and Dev's partner). Kyell Gold's (the author) writing is exceptional. I do not follow football, but there is a very important football game that covers several chapters in this book. The minute to minute game plus the angst of Dev and Lee, kept me reading chapter after chapter until 2am in the morning - and it was a work day. There is more here than a simple gay book or a furry book. There is something for all loving being to learn from reading the series.

Well to make this interesting, and if you haven't read of Out of Posistion read it before you read this one. Anyways Dev and Lee's relationship has to come to a seperation, only because Lee believes it for the best. Devlyn however is wondering whether or not Lee is right, and so their different goals put them on seperate paths. Will they get back together? read to find out about that and also because Kyell Gold is a superb writer!

There were two things going against this book right from the start, furry erotica and football. I have no interest in the first and an active dislike to the second. I thought I was going to hate this book. I started out not liking it but Lee and Dev grew on me. I had to overcome the hurdle of their established relationship and history of which I knew nothing. Once that happened, I was really into it. OK, I still skimmed most of the football games, but I was invested in the story. The writing was great, and the story and characters pulled me in. I was impressed.

Many clergy do what they think they should do and say what they think they should say to the grieving, but will be surprised to discover that many of these things are actually hurtful. Still around after all these years

This book was the only souvenir that my mom took home from the magical and mysterious world of TEACHING before us kids were born. It was our favorite, and our copy stamped with "New York City Board of Education" must have caused her to loose her voice on occasion - from reading out loud, over and over.
Everything was done just right: The story has a brilliant sence of rythm. It progresses with just the correct amount of repetition, and introduction of humor. The illustrations are wonderful and warm. I am an illustrator by profession, and was flabergasted when the book was returned to me after years of exile with my younger cousins. The artwork was as beautiful to my adult eyes as it was 45 years ago. ( My earliest efforts at book illustration are still evident in crayon on the inside of the front cover.)
I now live abroad, and English is my childrens' somewhat challenging, second language. Never-the-less, they were always happy to hear read this lovely story
